The Seeds of Kismet Story

A quiet success is of the highest worth.

Those of us who survived long enough learned to keep our heads down.

The work had to be our reward - not recognition.

Cannabis has been part of life for as long as I’ve been an adult.

I’ve gone by several sobriquets by now. Projects detailed here will also be detailed on ICmag under a less used, older handle of mine “rizraz”. I will also post some stuff on Instagram under the handle “seedsofkismet”. Anymore, everyone just calls me Farmer. I have a Master’s degree in clandestine botany and I have been working commercially in Cannabis for 20 years. These last few years have been spent working as a contracted white label breeder and growing a large cooperative of hemp farms across the south east US.

In this project I will endeavor to offer what I do without filters, without exception. Anything I work will remain detailed here, step by step, organized in the genealogy blogs for breeding projects and trials blogs for new seed stock we’re testing. My goal is full transparency, archived here, for as long as the site is up. I hope this lucidity allows a trust of products you purchase from me that is beyond reproach.

An area we focus on is limiting the impact of our cultivation. Outdoors we focus on limited/no till farming methods, compost teas, cover crops and multi-species inter-planting that includes native plants. Indoors we limit the use of nutrients suspended in liquid and focus on long term soil health with our Grassroots raised bed with living soil. Our pest management program is centered around beneficial insects and predatory mites. If we feel we have to deploy pesticides with only use OMRI listed products and do so only when necessary.

I will share my opinion here, often I’ve learned it isn’t always popular. My filter is limited and I do my best to represent what I believe to be the truth. My hope is that with this raw, unfiltered, and totally transparent method of breeding helps share my passion with you in most honest way possible. I hope any of my seeds, projects, posts, records or opinions bring something interesting to the table.
