Pakistani Skunk First Grow Report

General Cultivar Information:

Filial Classification: Feminized F1

Lineage: Lavender (Afghan x Skunk) x PCK (Old Purple Mother from 2002)

Flowering time: 60 days

Harvest Month: Late September

Seed Type: Feminized

Phytomorphology: Mostly medium height columnar type plants with short branches. Generally the leaves of the hybrid were smaller and mostly the stems were hollow, sturdy and able to support the weight their own growth. Gland coverage of the entire line we above average with a couple of standout long stalked, large headed samples. Flower density is in the medium range with some of the white skunks leaning towards “fluffy” or “soft” flowers and the PCK leaning more into the denser type flowers.

Genotypes: “White Skunk” generally was a taller more columnar type plants with thicker stems and larger, less weighty flowers. “PCK” generally was shorter, way more colorful and denser in flower composition. “Hybrid” We did see a couple of plants that were hard to place in either of the categories listed below as hybrid types.

General Bouquet: Creamy, chemically, tropical sun tan lotion, Decayed piney resin in an old leather bound book, Honey coated mushy berries, Fresh ripe grapes covered in grape Kool aid.

Breeder: Ace Seeds - “50%/50% sativa/indica hybrid between the afghan/skunk cup-winning elite cut of Lavender, and another elite clone, the purple Pakistan Chitral Kush 2002. The result is a fairly uniform hybrid where 85% of the plants produce a white Skunk phenotype offering a huge yield on the main cola, with hardly any branching, which makes it especially suitable for indoor SOG crops, where high yields and consistency between plants are the priority. A small percentage of plants produce a classic colorful PCK phenotype, not as high-yielding as the main Skunk pheno, but finishing a week earlier and with better resistance against fungi.”

Cultivation Interest: Our team was interested in exploring various PCK hybrids (The Malawi x PCK last year which we selected a keeper from) before entering into our PCK seed work of the aged breeders packs we had from Ace as well as the other rare/exceptional Afghani seeds we were able to source. Also Judo had never had any of the lavender clone’s flower so this made perfect sense.

Cultivation Detailed: Cultivation Type: Outdoor Cultivation Method: 30 Gallon grassroots / living soil Feed Program: Roots Uprising Bloom Dry Nutrient (3-6-4), Roots Uprising Grow Dry Nutrient (6-0.5-1.5), Down to Earth Steamed Fish Bone Meal, Homemade compost with rabbit poop, and organic hay.

Individual Cultivars

PakS A

Early Flowering Notes:
Medium in height, just about average for the line. Long, thin, delicate, and hollow stems. 5 fingered hybrid type leaf. Large biomass producer. Decent structure with better training could be excellent. Very vigorous. Strong creamy tropical stem smells.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Medium Height, long branched but still very upright "White Skunk Expression". bending did help spread the tops to three colas however the plant still focused growth on one main cola with others lagging slightly behind. Lowers are packing on weight making this a solid producer. Just above average for the line. Strong to strongest creamy tropical herb scent. Easily the most tropical of the batch.

Late Flowering Notes:
White Skunk Expression. No color beyond green. Decent coverage of glands but not nearly as maxed out as some of the others. Overall flowers didn't swell to match with some of the better producing plants in the line. Bud size is medium to small and the density of the flowers is slightly below average for the line. Still the most savory/spicy of the tropical side of the line.

Final Notes:
Neat plant with strange herby, spicy, hazy, smells well outside the normal expressions for the line. Good White Skunk leaner in structure . Not as terpy as some of the others. Strong biomass producer that requires a training plan/denser planting to get the best out of her.

PakS B

Early Flowering Notes:
On the taller/tallest side of Medium. Thick solid stems with shorter reaching but stout branches. 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Pole plant but with a single bend in the mainstem we managed an open pole format. Great node spacing and general morphology. Strong berry herb smell on the stem. I came back to rub this one again and again really unique herbed blueberry smell.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Medium tall plant with great colors, and thick white pistols. Holding a great open structure with a single bend. Lots of tops. Strong berry herb smell. Likely highest total terps in batch at time of writing.

Late Flowering Notes:
Beautiful plant absolutely covered with splashes of purple. High color differentials make this plant a show stopper. Gland coverage is above average, with a thick carpet on most plants. Nice pink to the pistols. Dense flower with smaller overall flower size. Average to above average yields for the line.

Final Notes:
Great plant. High response to bending which produced a Christmas tree type shape. Flower's aren't the biggest in the batch but they did have one of the highest densities of the group. Yield was within the keeper range. The smell of this flower is amazing. It's an herby grapey, tropical fruit smell with touches of old books, truly amazing. Keeper.

PakS C

Early Flowering Notes:
Medium. Just about dead average for the line. Thick hollow stems with short reaching branches. 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Pole plant with moderate short branching. Likely a White Skunk expression. Herby tropical stem rub

Mid Flowering Notes:
Medium plant, White Skunk expression. Green with minor purples but 90% green. Absolutely covered in glands. Savory, creamy, herby tropical smell. Great "WS" slightly lower in overall production that other white skunk types.

Late Flowering Notes:
Green, white skunk expression. Smaller overall flower but higher density than average. Pole plant with short little branches. Gland coverage is above average however they seem to have slightly smaller heads on slightly longer stalks. Yield is average to below average due to overall flower size. Piney, old book scent with slightly spicy tropical notes.

Final Notes:
Low biomass plant with more unique savory/hazy notes. Flower density is unusually high for the line. Unique long stalked glands are unusual for the line.

PakS D

Early Flowering Notes:
Shortest in the tall or tallest in the medium height range. Extremely thick solid stems. Wide 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Largest biomass producer in the group. Pole plant with great training response. A single mainstem bend produced a very productive bushy habit. Strong ammoniated skunky tropical creamed fruit stem rub smells. Very nice plant

Mid Flowering Notes:
Tall/short or Medium/Tallest "White Skunk" expression. Tons of productive flower sites with better than average density. Sharp ammoniated fruity suntan lotion scent. Very unique terp.

Late Flowering Notes:
Chunky buds, with splotches of colors. Gland coverage is above average but not fully into the carpeted territory. Bud density is average to slight below average. Skunky, musky nose front with fruity tropical smells and lingering suntan lotion. Yield is above average for the line.

Final Notes:
High biomass plant, highest in the group. Flower density is slightly low for the line but flower production is well above average. The smell is addictive mix of tropical fruit and lotiony or creamy chemical smell. Longest flowering sample in the batch.

PakS E

Early Flowering Notes:
Tall side of medium in height. Strong, thick stems that resisted bending. 5 finger hybrid leaf. Another pole type with shorter branch length than average. Likely a White Skunk Expression. Herby spicy tropical stem smell.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Tall pole with short branches even after training. One of the rarer hybrid types with larger frame and general morpglogy of the "White Skunk" expressions but very colorful like the other PCK expressions. Just oozing resin. Spicy, herbie smell with very little sweetness.

Late Flowering Notes:
Chunky buds, with splotches of colors. Gland coverage is into carpeted territory. Very high. Bud density is above average. and the general flower size is higher than most. Skunky, musky nose front with strong berry haze finish. One of the more complex terp profiles in the line. Yield is likely above average for the line.

Final Notes:
One of the to of my favorite growers from this run. Almost exactly identical to the "F" sample who she grew next two. Both were extremely exceptional plants retaining the color, density and sweet touches from the PCK while keeping all the structure and herby depth of the "Lavender" clone.

PakS F

Early Flowering Notes:
Tall side of medium in height. Thick but hollow and bendable stems. 5 finger hybrid leaf. Another pole type with strong branch response from bending allowing for an easy semi bush habit. Low stem smell rub.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Medium tall semi bush pole type of the "White Skunk" expression. Bulky hairy white flowers with long pistol lengths. High biomass with lots of flowering sites, potentially too many, requires removal. Long branch length after training. Slight more tropical herby smells that other "WS" expressions. Slowly expressing a color blush.

Late Flowering Notes:
More splash of purple but mostly green. Hybrid type with a harder lean towards the "White Skunk" side. Lot of secondary pistol regrowth. Large overall buds a over average density for the line, not as dense as it's twin E. Nice main pole type with good semi bush habit post bending the main stem. Very similar to E. Yield is average to above average for the line. Sweet berry and aged tropical fruit scents.

Final Notes:
One of the to of my favorite growers from this run. Almost exactly identical to the "E" sample who she grew next two. Both were extremely exceptional plants retaining the color, density and sweet touches from the PCK while keeping all the structure and herby depth of the "Lavender" clone. This F did not quite have the depth of terps that the E did and it's propensity towards lower density bottoms requires a trained eye to train properly.

PakS G

Early Flowering Notes:
Medium in height. Delicate thin hollow stems. Smaller 5 finger hybrid leaf. Lower overall nodes and biomass. Lovely spicy herb stem smell.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Smaller side of medium, unique type plant with very green flowers, dainty stems, faster than the "White Skunk" expression at flowering. Lower overall nodes and flower bulk but likely one of the denser expressions tested. Very spicy and sweet herb smells.

Late Flowering Notes:
Medium small. Golf ball sized buds, very green and white with no other colors. Great high gland coverage flower but overall lower flower production on it's dainty frame with below average density. Sweet flora scent. Very sticky.

Final Notes:
Great hybrid type again, this time the PCK frame shown through more while keeping 90% of the White Skunk traits. Very eye-catching plant in the row due to it's overall smaller stature and it's saturation of glands.

PakS H

Early Flowering Notes:
Short side of medium in height. Strong, thick stems. Smaller than average 5 five hybrid leaf. PCK expression likely with a typical kushy hybrid structure and node spacing. Weirdly herbal stem smells.

Mid Flowering Notes:
Shorter medium PCK expression. Very colorful. Flower density is above average and size is average but overall the plant is on the smaller production side. Mixed terp profile of body odor and old berries is somewhat flat at this time.

Late Flowering Notes:
Mixed darker purple expression. Gland coverage is above average for the line. Yield is average to below average due to overall plant size. Bud density is above average. Nose is aged berries, pine and grape.

Final Notes:
This plant was on the smaller side but the quality was 99%. Hard PCK lean with touches of the herby lavender grape scents. Another keeper likely to preform better indoors. Post cure (will be detailed more in a later post) this one took on some unbeatable in the jar smells. Definitive keeper.

PakS I

Early Flowering Notes: Medium in height. Delicate thin hollow stems. Wide, fat, 5 leaflet hybrid leaf. Decent structured plant likely leaning towards a PCK expression. Sweet decaying candy smell.

Midflowering Notes: Remained medium in height. Thin stems prone to breaking under the weight of the flowers. PCK expressions clearly with a lovely dank berry scent.

Late Flower Notes: Above average colorings, with high splashes of purple low pistol high purple. Small pistol clusters density is above average. Smell is a musky sweet grape. Similar to X. Average yield for the line. Gland coverage is average to above average for the line. Grapey berry scent that lingers.

Final Notes: Great PCK/White Skunk mix. Mostly PCK leaning with a lovely note of some of aged dank tones of the lavender. Stunning looking plant with the high color variability. The smell really stays with you. Very stick. Potential keeper.

Paks J

Early Flowering Notes: Medium tall in height. Thick solid stems. 5 leaflet hybrid type leaf. Pole type with decent response to training. Sweet herb stem rub. Likely a “White Skunk” expression

Mid Flowering Notes: Taller branchy pole type "WS" Good response to bending with the branches easily extending to the top to create a semi bush type. Sweet herb smell with a touch of tropical lotions.

Later Flowering Notes: All green “White Skunk” type. Gland coverage is average to above average with potential for smaller than average gland heads. Bud size is smaller. Single cola type pole. Tight, center focused growth. Denser than average flower. Overall yield is average for the line. Scents in the pine resin and aged books with no traces of sweets or herbs.

Notes: Great “White Skunk” type only to be outdone by it’s neighbor K. Gland coverage is pretty good but overall the head seem smaller. Scent is pure tropical pine but lacks the depth of some of the others. Yield is likely average due to the smaller overall flowers but saved by the higher density.

PakS K

Early Flowering Notes: Medium in height. Thin delicate looking but sturdy stems. 5 leaflet hybrid type leaf. Bushier type with strong growth. Low stem smell.

Mid Flowering Notes: Medium “White Skunk” expression but has great branchy. Long thick white pistols. Lower than average density for the line. Low sweet herb smell.

Late Flowering Notes: Green to silver. High gland coverages. Flowers are large but overall average to below average density. Sweet fruit scent. Overall yields is above average. Suspected higher yield than others. Longer flowering time than others.

Notes: Likely the biggest “White Skunk” expression we had. Very high biomass producer. This sample needs a longer flower time. Overall the lower density of the flowers is less than ideal but her glands size and volume are worth a second exploration.

PakS L

Early Flowering: Tallest of the shorties. Thick solid stems that are easily broken. 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Pole type that resisted structure corrections. Likely a PCK expression with a lovely dank, sweet herb stem rub.

Mid Flowering: Short to medium PCK type. Colorful but less so at this time than other PCK expressions. Thicker white pistols give buds a nice contrast. Dark sweet herb berry smell that I enjoy on a terrible structured plant.

Late Flowering: Mixed purple expression. Below average visible glands. Buds are dense and flower is medium or average for the line. Smells are less sweet, danker, and muskier. Yield is average to below average for the line.

Notes: A smaller PCK leaning plant that didn’t inherit the best combination of structures from it’s parents. The green to purple gave the finished flowers a great contrast but overall the musky forest berry, cave scent just wasn’t as powerful as I’d like.

PakS M

Early Flower: Medium tall in height. Strong, thick stems that resisted bending. 5 leaflet hybrid leaf. Huge number of sites on a slightly bushy habit plant. Still seems to be a PCK expression to my eye with a great dank berry stem rub smell.

Mid Flowering: Medium. Likely one of the taller PCK expressions with great "splash" patterns in the bud. Slightly smaller buds but again very dense. Great dank, musky, berry smell.

Late Flowering: Slash of colors. Flower density is above average for the line and size is as well. Low develop on lowers with energy focused at the top. Pole type. Complex fruit; grape, tropical fruit; scent. Good gland coverage.

Notes: Great PCK type with larger frame and better structure than a typical kush. Light lean towards the lavender in scent gives this line a complex deep aroma of mixed fruits and suntan lotion with sweet cream.

PakS N

Early Flowering: Medium in height. Strong, thick stems. 5 leaflet hybrid leaf. Pole type, likely a white skunk expression with a very bland stem rub. Also had issues with caterpillars.

Mid Flowering: Medium PCK expressions that is very colorful early in flowering. Decent overall production with flower density slightly above average and flower size slightly below. Bland sweet smell without much depth at this time.

Late Flowering: Above average color for the line. Smaller overall flower size. Central tight structure. Gland coverage is average for the line. Flower density is average to above average. One of the most colorful PCK or Hybrid types. Scent is in the sweet, berry, and slight dank range. Yield is below average for the line.

Notes: Great PCK expression with a bad picture. The depth of color on this one was amazing. Just strong deep purples starting from inside the flower and working it’s way out. The terps were all in the PCK ranges but overall weren’t as strong as I thought a PCK would be. Great larger yielding, easier to grow, PCK type.

PakS O

Early Flowering Notes: Medium in height. Thick solid stems. Wide 5 leaflet hybrid type leaf. Long pistoled preflowers. Pole type. Likely a pure white skunk expression. Sharp strong tropical THC smell.

Mid Flowering Notes: Medium Branchy pole "White Skunk" expression. Long thick white pistols. Just about dead average for the line all regards, gland coverage, flower size, flower density. Basically the hallmark of “White Skunk” types. Lovely, sharp, aged tropical fruit smells. Like rotten tropical fruit smoothie.

Late Flowering: Green expression. Flower size is larger than average. Flower density is below average. Gland coverage is high, above average. Yield is above average. Spicy, herbal decay scent that ends in creamy chemical smells something akin to artificial creamer for coffee.

Notes: Overall a great average example of the dominate expression of the line. Good yielding commercial plant with unique tropical terps with good depth. This particular example’s decay scent was unusual for the line.

PakS P

Early Flowering Notes: Medium tall in height. Thick hollow stems. 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Strong biomass producer with good bushy habit. Creamy herby stem smells with almost no sweetness.

Mid Flowering Notes: Tall "WS" pole type with good response to training. Good producer of light green flowers with average density. Lower sweetness and more creamy herby savory than other expressions.

Later Flowering Notes: Very green, large biomass plant. Flower density is average to slightly below. Gland coverage is above average. Good tropical nose. Yield is above average.

Notes: Another good example of a basic “White Skunk” expression. Basically dead average for the line. The nose on this kept in the tropical fruit range with mangos and limes at the front of the scents.

PakS Q

Early Flowering Notes: Tall/short. Thick solid stems. Wide 5 finger hybrid type leaf. Highest biomass in the group. Great strong powerful aged books and cake stem smell.

Mid Flowering Notes: All green type. Bigger, good internode spacing. Bigger overall plants in total. Strong side branching, thick stems. Flowers are lower than average density. Coverage of glands is average. Tropical mix nose less sweet. Yield is average to above average for the line.

Late Flowering Notes: Strong producer of very green flowers. High flower volume of overall undersized flowers of average to slightly below average density. Tropical fruit and herbs scent is amazing with touches of lime and coconut coated lavender candy.

Notes: Potential “White Skunk” keeper. Great depth to the nose and great overall production. The lowers did suffer some but with training this could easily be a top producing commercial plant. Very unique, deep, layered scent.

PakS S

Early Flowering Notes: Medium in height. Strong, thick stems. 5 finger hybrid leaf. Branchy habit with great response to training. Slightly sweet tropical stem smells with a touch of baked goods.

Mid Flowering Notes: Strong producer in the medium category. Great structure. Hard to place the expression. Strong scents. Sweet and herbie with a touch of tropical fruits.

Late Flowering Notes: Big chucky golf ball size nugs. Good flower to leaf. Greener expression with some splash of color. Yield likely above average for the line. Flora, sweet musk with tones of earth. Thick stem side branching. Structure is good for high yielding flowers. High development of lowers, better than other plants in the group.

Notes: Overall a keeper. Leaned hard PCK with the structure boost from the Lavender. Really pushed some stunning color splashes without cold to produce those color responses. Very fast flowering time. Keeper.

PakS V

Early Flowering Notes: Tall/short. Thick solid stems. Narrower 5 leaflet hybrid type. Branchy and bushy with great response to training. Hazey/grassy sweet stem rub.

Mid Flowering Notes: Tall "WS" expression with long branch pattern. Call this structure branchy pole? Green with no signs of turning colors. High gland coverage already. Slightly sweet grassy spicy smell.

Late Flowering Notes: Nice medium tall bush type. Good node distance. More purple than other “White Skunk” types. Gland coverage is above average. Bud density is lower than average. Bracts are purple with green leaves. Aged berries, cream with zero sweetness.

Notes: Great commercial producing plant with a high color response. High gland coverage and flower size made for beautiful flowers. Great scent but maybe not as unique as some of the others.

Paks W

Early Flowering Notes: Short medium in height. Thicker stems but still hollow and easily bent. 5 leaflet hybrid leaf. Tight node spacing on a bushier style plant. Sweet woody stem smell. Unlike the other skunk and PCK expressions.

Mid Flowering Notes: The only green/silver plant in the batch with strong gland coverage. Very tall, narrow flowers tiny, thin pistols. Green with no color expressions and also no leans towards the larger pistols "White Skunk" expressions. Sweet cedar and musk. Unique plant.

Late Flowering Notes: green to silver. Interesting short single colas type. Moderate to high gland coverage. Lower than average yields due to overall size. Bud density is slightly below averages. Sweet hazy smell with slight touch of rotten fruit.

Notes: Great sport expression here. Could be a really interesting extraction type plant. Very unique terp profile, only two with these notes of decay.

PakS X

Early Flowering Notes: Tallest of the short category in height. Delicate thin hollow stems. 5 leaflet hybrid leaf. Short kushy type growth patterns. Likely a PCK expression. Very sweet stem rubs.

Mid Flowering Notes: Very colorful PCK expression. Slightly more colorful at this stage than the comparable shorter expressions. Strong sweet herb smells with a touch of musk.

Late Flowering Notes: Good splashes of purple. With a nice showing of some pink pistols. Flowers are larger than average on a smaller plant. Average flower density. Sweet grape hazy, greasy rub to it. Average yield for the line.

Notes: An ideal combination of the unique terps of the lavender line into the Old Purple PCK. Very deep grapey, tropical herbed smell. Potential keeper for sure.
